After 15 years of experience working and educating in my field (I’m older than i look!).
I believe that technical knowledge is only half the job. The crucial half is a joy for interaction.
I see my role as:
50% - Knowing my craft like the back of my hand (375 freckles, 1 scar).
50% - Genuine interest to learn about, and display, the unique traits of the person I shoot.*
I have been told countless times by my collaborators and clients that they loved the atmosphere and that it felt “different”. Something I strive for and am truly proud of.
I have produced headshots that have directly booked work for actors, promotional images for touring musicians and comedians and have produced billboard ads across Canada, the U.S and Europe.

Here is one of the promotional images I shot for the $56,000 funded Irish short film “The Secret Market” starring Victoria Smurfit and Tadhg Murphy.
Incidentally, one day on set, they were short an extra, so I had to jump in front of the camera to film the scene. I completely forgot that I had done that after we wrapped shooting.
Years later, I got a very confused call from my mother asking why and how I showed up in the middle of her in-flight movie on her holiday trip to Spain.
I had forgotten, so I had no idea what to tell her. We didn’t know how it happened for weeks.
